Moving at once and being forward.

Moving at once and being forward.

the week everything started moving at once.

hey. it's me again.

some weeks are about thinking. some weeks are about building. and some weeks everything just moves at the same time and you're standing in the middle of it trying to make sure nothing falls.

this was that week.

the user lens.

something shifted for me this week.

i spent more time this week looking at getmedesign through the eyes of the people using it than through the eyes of the person building it. pricing. experience. what matters. what doesn't. what feels right. what feels off.

and here's the thing about doing that honestly. it's uncomfortable. because you see things you wish weren't there. and you see things that surprise you in the best way.

what keeps coming back to us every single time is this. we are building something genuinely valuable. not useful. not convenient. valuable. the kind of thing that actually changes something for the person using it.

that's the thread. that's what we keep coming back to. and as long as that's true everything else is fixable.

the servers had a moment.

okay so the backend decided this was a great week to have feelings.

heat on the servers. backend operations getting spicy. the kind of tech problems that make you feel like everything is on fire even when only one thing is actually on fire.

my cofounder handled it. like he always does. quietly. completely. and with a kind of calm that honestly makes me feel better just watching him work.

i don't fully understand everything he does in those moments. but i understand the result. things get fixed. things get stronger. and the product keeps going.

that's the genius of the right technical cofounder. you don't always see the work. you just see that nothing broke.

the new interface is taking shape.

this week i got to see glimpses of where the UI and UX is heading.

our product designer has been putting everything in place quietly while the rest of us have been busy with a hundred other things. and seeing it come together this week was one of those moments where you remember why you're doing all of this.

it looks like getmedesign. it feels like getmedesign. but better. cleaner. more like what we always imagined it could be.

more on this when it's ready. but it made me smile.

YC calls and learning from the best.

had a couple of calls this week with some YC startups.

not pitching. not selling. just talking. learning. understanding how people who've been through the process think about things like partnerships and growth and what actually matters at different stages.

i always come out of conversations like this with one thing i didn't have before. sometimes it's an idea. sometimes it's a question i hadn't thought to ask myself. sometimes it's just the reminder that everyone is figuring it out as they go. even the ones who look like they have it all together.

the marketing saga begins.

okay this one is exciting.

we started something new inside the team this week. we're calling it the marketing saga.

it's simple. it's collective. everyone at starts putting out into the world what we actually do and why we do it. not just me. not just one person. all of us. in our own voices. in our own way.

because the best marketing was never one person broadcasting. it's a team of people who genuinely believe in something and can't stop talking about it.

we believe in what we're building. deeply. and now we're going to start showing that properly.

this is just the beginning of that. but beginnings are everything.

what this week taught me.

someone asked me this week if i ever look back at where getmedesign started and feel proud.

and my honest answer surprised even me.

i don't look back much. not because i'm not grateful. but because looking back too long pulls your potential away from where it needs to be pointed. forward. always forward.

you can acknowledge where you've been without living there.

the vision is ahead. the work is now. the past is just proof that you started.

keep moving.

see you next week. 🌻
