i'll be honest. i didn't know how to start this one.
because this week had too much in it. the kind of week where you sit down on sunday night and think did all of that really happen in seven days?
it did.
so let me just tell you about it.
july 10th.
we launched.
the new version of getmedesign went live. the video we spent weeks making finally met the world. and the response was something i genuinely wasn't prepared for.
overwhelming is the word i keep using. but it doesn't fully cover it.
it's one thing to build something and believe in it. it's another thing entirely to put it out there and watch people get it. actually get it. without you explaining it. without you being in the room.
that feeling doesn't get old. i don't think it ever will.
but first. let me catch you up.
the last few weeks before july 10th were the most intense weeks we've had as a team.
late nights. last minute changes. moments where everything felt ready and then suddenly didn't. the kind of pressure that either breaks a team or brings them closer together.
ours got closer.
and that matters more to me than any launch number.
30 minutes.
okay so this is the part i want to talk about properly.
we got into IIT Ropar for incubation.
and the way it happened? a 30 minute call. that's it.
no long process. no endless back and forth. just a conversation with the right people who understood what we were building and why it mattered.
30 minutes.
i've had meetings that lasted three hours and changed nothing. and i've had this one. 30 minutes. that changed everything.
i think about that a lot. how the most important moments in your journey rarely announce themselves. they just show up quietly. dressed like a regular afternoon call.
the incubation is already underway. the next few months are going to be something else entirely. and i'm just grateful we said yes to that call.
the $1,000 thing.
every platform out there tells you here are the clients. go get them.
nobody tells you what happens next.

the B2B thing.
we quietly launched our B2B section this week.
this one is for businesses and agencies who are tired of the usual way of finding clients. the slow way. the expensive way. the way that takes months and still doesn't guarantee anything.
we built something better. and the early response has already surprised us.
more on this as it grows. but it's moving.
the UX.
i got to see more of the new interface this week.
and there is one thing about it that keeps striking me. one piece of information. in the right place. at the right moment. can change your entire experience of something.
we have been thinking about that a lot. how simplicity is not about removing things. it is about putting the right thing exactly where it needs to be.
the new UX does that. and it is almost ready.
what this week taught me.
launch weeks are funny things.
you spend so long preparing for the moment. and then the moment arrives and it is over in a day. and then you are already thinking about what is next.
but somewhere in between preparing and moving on there is this small window where you just feel it. the weight of what you built. the realisation that it is real. that people are using it. that it is working.
i try to stay in that window a little longer these days.
not to slow down. just to notice.
because the next few weeks are going to be crazy. the best kind of crazy. and i want to remember what this moment felt like before it becomes the last thing we launched.
